Ergo I/O
Project Overview
The Ergo I/O is an innovative ergonomic and accessible one-handed keyboard and mouse combo designed for all users, specifically addressing the high cost of assistive technology for individuals with limited mobility. Utilizing the Open-Source Artsey project, it simplifies the traditional keyboard layout to just 8 keys, allowing for seamless and efficient text input.
Inspired by the natural form of the human hand, its design prioritizes comfort and ease of use, making it an ideal solution for those with limited hand mobility. The ergonomic shape not only enhances usability but also reduces strain during extended use.
As an open-source project, the Ergo I/O can be 3D printed anywhere, making it accessible to anyone who needs it. This flexibility allows for customization to meet individual needs, helping to create a more inclusive digital world.
The project was developed in collaboration with Idan Eldar and Mariya Levytska.
